Reina SofiaMadrid's Reina Sofia Museum is home to the post-19th century art built from the Spanish Royal Collection. Crowds come daily to the Reina Sofia to view Picasso's most famous work. It depicts the bombing of Guernica, a Basque Country village in northern Spain, by German and Italian warplanes at the behest of the Spanish Nationalist forces on 26 April 1937 during the Spanish Civil War. |
